Phnom Penh Ranks Second Among World's Most Attractive Nightlife Cities

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – The capital city has achieved significant recognition, placing second in a recent survey by VISA2FLY, which assessed the world’s most attractive nightlife destinations. This accolade comes on the heels of the successful pilot operation of the Chaktomuk pedestrian street, which has drawn both local and international tourists to experience a vibrant array of traditional entertainment.

In the rankings, Bangkok, Thailand, secured the top position, while Bali, Indonesia, followed Phnom Penh in third place. The survey highlights the growing appeal of Phnom Penh as a nightlife hub, showcasing its unique cultural offerings.

The Chaktomuk pedestrian street, inaugurated on February 1, 2025, extends along Sisowath Avenue from Road 94 to the Royal Palace. This new entertainment venue is open every Saturday and Sunday, featuring a variety of attractions including local food stalls, theatrical performances, traditional arts, and folk games. This initiative not only enhances the city’s nightlife appeal but has also played a crucial role in attracting visitors, contributing to Phnom Penh's esteemed ranking.

As the city continues to develop its nightlife options, the efforts of local authorities and businesses are seen as pivotal in establishing Phnom Penh as a premier destination for night-time entertainment on the global stage.
